Gålö, Haninge

A close encounter with nature.
Far out by the open sea are the outermost skerries of the Stockholm archipelago. Windswept and barren these small and remote skerries is the home to the baltic Grey seal and White-tailed eagle. From the boat we go looking for the seals sunbathing on the rocky islets and experience the wild and unique nature of the outer archipelago.
We will also tell you about a secret facility known as “Palmen” (the Palm tree), where the Swedish military trained Grey seals to find and indicate submarines during the second world war.
A stop at the island Ålandsskär is optional. This island is the last outpost of the southern Stockholm archipelago. Its lighthouse and houses from times past combined with striking views makes it a excursion highlight!
