Arts and crafts

In the Stockholm archipelago, you'll find many artists and craftspeople. They offer painting, sculpture, ceramics, silver, driftwood art, textiles, wood-carving, knife-making and metal works. You can often visit them in their studios or see and buy their works at one of the many small galleries throughout the islands. In Gustavsberg Harbour, there are more than 70 artisan workshops. When you’re here, take the opportunity to visit the nearby art gallery Artipelag, which is beautifully situated on a hill with nature as part of its architecture. Each year, there is also an outdoor sculpture exhibition organized on Landsort. The artwork is displayed at different places around the island, with the open horizon as the background. Visitors can roam around freely to view them.
