Norrtälje

Lidö, in the middle of Roslagen, is an idyllic island that's managed by the Archipelago Foundation. This is where vacationers recharge their batteries, couples in love get married, and companies hold conferences in a serene environment. Enjoy kayaking, go swimming, take a sauna, and go for a walk in the forest or simply eat and drink well at the inn. There is an inn, hostels, a guest harbour, a bakery, a grocery store and a self-sufficient farm that you can visit as long as you book a time.
The road on Lidö goes in a circle from the steamboat dock past the inn, farm and animals, and continues through beautiful scenery up to the natural harbour in Österhamn. Walk around it and you'll pass all of the island's special places.

Directions

Take the E18 north from Stockholm toward Norrtälje and turn off toward Kappelskär. Turn left toward Gröddö/Röfsnäs. After 2 km, turn right toward Räfsnäs Brygga. Park in the visitor's parking directly to the right and walk to the jetty for service with the ferry boat to Lidö.
