Dalarö

In Dalarö, you'll find a lively, modern community in a well preserved historical environment. Prominent cultural figures, actors, artists and business leaders have been spending leisure time here since the end of the 1800's when Dalarö became a popular seaside resort for Stockholm socialite. There are many beautiful houses with gingerbread architecture and windowed verandas - still well preserved from that time. Art exhibits and musical events take place throughout the summer.
Activities like sailing, kayaking, beach volleyball and surfing are a given part of Dalarös selection of water adventures. The long beach at Schweizerbadet is attractive for both swimming and sport. Just outside Dalarö, you'll find some of the world's best preserved wrecks from the 1600's. Go wreck diving with a specially trained guide. Or go on a wreck safari and explore the wrecks up close - without even getting wet!
