Vaxholm Bed & Breakfast

Vaxholm

A small hotel at our home in central Vaxholm

Welcome to Vaxholms Bed & Breakfast! A small hotel in our home, in Vaxholm’s older residential neighbourhoods. Just steps away from the waterfront and a few hundred meters from Vaxholm guest harbor, cafes, restaurants and archipelago boats.

We offer accommodation in two rooms – The Studio for two people and the Family Room sleeping up to four – on the ground floor of our 1930s villa. Both with private entrance from the street and separate patio outside the door. For your comfort we have made the beds for you before you arrive, and in the bathroom you will find soap, shampoo, hair dryer, towels and other essentials. Both rooms also have a pantry with coffee maker, microwave, fridge and a single hotplate for simpler cooking.

Choose if you wish to add our breakfast basket to your reservation or if you prefer to do the grocery shopping yourself in the nearby grocery store. Coffee and tea is always in the room. Welcome to the archipelago, and feel at home!

Directions

By ferry through the archipelago from Stockholm:
Take the Vaxholm boat (in Swedish, Waxholmsbåten) from Strömkajen, or the Cinderella boat (Cinderellabåten) from Strandvägen to Vaxholm. Walk towards the guest harbour and the yellow car ferry. Walk along Östra Ekuddsgatan, following the waterfront, for about 250 metres until you come to a park. Take Drottninggatan up to the right. The house is the last one on the left. (No 7, Grey-green with white trim and red window frames. Red fence.)

By bus from Stockholm:
Take bus 670 from Tekniska Högskolan (KTH Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm. Get off at the stop called Vaxholms kyrka (Vaxholm Church). Walk back about 100 metres and turn left onto Pilgatan. Then take the second left and there you are on Drottninggatan. The house is the first on the right. (No 7, Grey-green with white trim and red window frames. Red fence.)

By car from Stockholm:
Take the E18 towards Norrtälje. Turn off towards Vaxholm onto road 274. Cross Vaxholm Bridge and follow the main road towards the town centre. Pass two traffic lights and then turn onto Pilgatan (the second road on the right, just before the third traffic light). Continue for about 30 metres and turn left onto Drottninggatan. The house is the first on your right. (No 7, Grey-green with white trim and red window frames. Red fence.)
